Saba 1300 speakers, damping material ?

      Hello,

      This is my first post here, i don't speak German, so i will try on English .

      Few months ago i bought Saba 1300 speakers and connected them with Tandberg TR2060 receiver. How does it play ? Well, sound is detailed, crystal clear, vocals are great, but the bass is very boomy.

      I opened speakers, and didn't found any damping material inside !!!? :oah:

      I can see there is many owners of these speakers here, so can somebody tell me is this for all Saba 1300 speakers or something must be inside, what is it, and how many material ? Some pictures would be very nice answer.

      were do you come from?

      Concerning your question: Yes, there is material inside the speakers. Instead of the old stuff, which was made of synthetic wool you can use these newer bars of white damping foam. You should try how much damping you like but fill the box at least up to 2 thirds without pressing it. You can add more if you like. If its too much the speaker will sound less clear and a little bit "thin". If its not enough it seems to have a big blastered tommy.

      Yes, just as I thought... who knows what the previous owner did it with synthetic wool...use it for pillows maybe ? :mauer:

      Anyway, i will use some damping material, but still want to see how does it look in the original state, which means original sound (picture please), don't like to much experiment.

      Mein Post 003 bezog sich ausschließlich auf den vorangegangenen Satz
      "... too many private questions" im Post davor und hatte mit Deiner (wirklich gründlichen) Antwort gar nichts zu tun.

      Mein Hinweis auf ein Bild in Post 005 war die Antwort auf
      "but still want to see how does it look in the original state, which means original sound (picture please)" in Post 002.

      Es sollte heissen, nachdem Du nun schon alles gründlich verbal erklärt hast, kann ja noch irgendjemand, wenn er Zeit hat, ein Foto nachschieben.

      Wenn ich der Meinung gewesen w ä r e, dass da noch Fakten fehlen, hätte ich ja versucht, sie zu ergänzen und nicht darum gebeten, dass Goran sich kurz vorstellt.
      Zum Thema selbst habe ich mich ja überhaupt nicht geäussert, hab noch nie eine 1300 von innen gesehen.

      Huiuiui heute muss man ja höllisch aufpassen, was man sagt ;)

      ich bin in keiner Weise beleidigt. Es kam nur schon recht oft vor, dass es eine Antwort gab und gerade mal ein oder zwei Threads später wiederholt jemand das Ganze und ergänzt es manchmal, manchmal auch nicht.

      Da ich mir sicher bin, dass viele Leute hier im Forum die Sache besser beherrschen als ich, habe ich bislang nichts angemerkt. Ich würde mich halt über folgenden Stil freuen, Beispiel: Den Ausführungen von ... (wem auch immer) möchte ich zustimmen (nicht zustimmen) und Folgendes ergänzen / richtig stellen ...

      Da fühlt man sich auch als "Außenseiter" doch gleich wahrgenommen. Es ist so eine Art "sich-mehr-Zuhause-Fühlens, mehr nicht.

      Okay, Goran, that's a different story, I apologize.

      Anyway, this is a very important and good place to talk about Saba subjects. Back to business as usual.
