Saba Ultracolor Telecommander

      Hallo!
      Ich bin aus den Vereinigten Staaten, so dass ich für meine arme deutschsprachigen entschuldigen.
      Ich bin für ein Saba Ultracolor Suche nach meinem Haus.
      Das Problem ist, Saba Fernsehers sind sehr schwer in den Vereinigten Staaten zu finden, denn sie waren in Übersee in Deutschland hergestellt.
      Ich frage mich, wenn euch auf diesem Forum helfen könnte mir einen Saba!
      Ich habe Bilder beigefügt, um Ihnen zu zeigen, die Saba Ich interessiere mich für.

      Hi there.
      I'm from the United States. Thought I'd post my topic in English. Not sure how many english-speaking people roam around on these forums though.
      So basically I'm on a hunt for an old Saba Ultracolor TV.
      I'm desperate! I really want one!
      The problem is, Saba TV's were manufactured overseas in Germany, so they're extremely hard to find in the United States.
      I was wondering if any of you guys could help me find a Saba or atleast point me the right direction to find one.
      I've attached pictures to show you the models that I'm looking for.
      I'd love any help/tips/advice you guys could give me.

      Viele hier im Forum beherrschen die englische Sprache gut. Ich nehme an, Du kannst etwas Deutsch und benutzt einen Translator. Deine Idee, den Text deutsch und englisch zu schreiben, ist gut.
      Auch in Deutschland ist es nicht einfach, solche Fernseher zu finden. Lebt man in Deutschland, sollte man bei Firmen fragen, die Wohnungen auflösen, wenn z.B. Oma gestorben ist. Normalerweise werden diese Fernseher weggeworfen, der Gebrauchswert ist zu gering. Eine andere Quelle sollte ebay Deutschland sein. Dort länger beobachten. Bleibt nur das Problem, wie der Fernseher transportiert werden soll. Normalerweise werden solche Fernseher nur an Leute angeboten, die selbst abholen.

      Even we Dschörmäns can hardly get an old SABA tellie.
      Well, most of the sets shown are from the CM series.
      These sets from the late seventies are the oldest to get.
      And, there is a 37 and 42 cm set.
      These small sets can be shipped and appears relatively often.
      The last one last week.

      Hallo ja und wie ist das mit Pal in Deutschland aber USA NTSC machen die TV das überhaupt,die aus Germany.Ich habe ja in der Zeit bei SABA geschafft war Konfergenzeinsteller.Da liefen manche Serien extra für Amerika denke das ein anders Modul drin ist.Lange her 1976-79 war ich in der TV Produktion im Tunnel.

It is a "Challenger", interesting design. The other one is series U, design Monitor. It is the last series before 100 Hz began. Here my TV with some pictures:

      This TV set is not originally SABA but developed by SABA engineers and produced there. Years ago SABA was bought by Thomson.

      The Saba TV you have and the eBay one is not quite the Saba TV's I'm looking for. My mind is set on the ones that I showed in my first post. Have you come across any of those recently?

      Hello KGen1, do you know about the NTSC-/PAL-problem? (Posting #3) In USA you're using NTSC, in germany it's PAL. Therefore you can't watch TV without adding some equipment... Do you know about this?

      If you want to look for TVs on ebay.de you can use this page to start with:

      However, I don't know what equipment I would have to buy to make a PAL work in our NTFS system.

      I think you need to look for an adapter-converter with a 75 ohm connector...
      This is a converter to connect your PC to your TV. It has nothing to do with the TV program (unless you have installed a TV tuner card in your PC).       I have an idea how to buy an old TV set SABA in the USA.

      There where many soldiers from the US in Germany, especially in Berlin (West). They had an own TV station, AFN. The transmission was NTSC, not PAL. In the later 80s I lived nearby AFN Berlin Dahlem.
      Some soldiers bought TV sets SABA with decoder NTSC and PAL. They wanted to look AFN and the German TV stations in Berlin, PAL. Ask old soldiers if they have an old and maybe broken SABA on the attic, in the cellar or wherever.
      When I was young I tried to receive AFN with an old TV set, decoder PAL only. The problem was the synchronization of the picture frequency. PAL uses 50 Hz and NTSC 60 Hz. I modified the oscillator for vertical frequency to 55 Hz. After that the TV set received PAL in color and NTSC in black and white, both with standing picture.
