Left Channel problem-Saba Continental 410US (Freiburg 14)

      Hi!
I am carrying out restoration of my Saba Continental 410US (Freiburg 14) after over 25yrs storage. I have cleaned and lubricated the radio. There are a number of problems that have come up. I am prioritizing these problems. At the moment I'll handle following three. Your help is needed:

      1. Left channel (3 speakers) is working at less than 25% of the level of right channel (not enough volume and quality), both for radio reception and phono. The mono/stereo switch is working alright.

While playing phono, switch in mono mode blends in the two channels at preamp stage and is heard through right channel speakers (2 speakers). The speakers of left channel stay feeble. Switch in stereo mode separates the channels resulting in left channel at a much lower volume than the right channel. The stereo balance at the back of radio is functional and responds to left and right balance with left channel still at less than 25% volume of right channel.

Also I have checked through left and right speakers connection at the back with same result. I also did swapping of the two EF 86 and two ELL 80. No change was noticed.

      2. on/off switch and solenoid were cleaned but is not functioning. It appears that the solenoid is not getting power/signal from switch. By flicking the solenoid with finger activates on/off.

      3. Voice/music switch has similar problem as in '2' above. Solenoid is not getting power/signal from the switch. I can move the solenoid manually to switch to voice/music mode. The switch is not functional.
      Thanks,

      Hi!,
I have resolved prolems under items # 2 and 3 ie on/off switch and voice/music switch, after careful cleaning and lubrication of solenoids and in addition cleaning of the push button contacts which were badly fouled with dirt. These switches are now working very smoothly.

I am continuing to handle 'LEFT CHANNEL PROBLEM' for which I need your ideas and help in trouble shooting, more like spoon feeding as I do not have radio, amplifier/ electronics knowledge.
