IPOD to phono input

Hello Steve,
usually you need no insolation transformer. This is only needed on some "Allstrom"-sets, who don't have a separation to mains via the transformer.
You don't need impedance matching, i suggest only to make an Y-cable to get both channels together and add some resistors (about 1K) in line of the two stereo-channels in order to separate the two mini-amplifiers of the iPod.Gruß, Gunnar -

My Ipod is now connected. I used a Pyle PIDOCK1 with remote control, an isolation transformer ( all ready had it ordered, and it seems to have took care of a hum when the Ipod was touched),and two 1K resistors.
I had to plug in to the headphone output of the Ipod, the other output was not amplified enough to work. It's working great, much better than the rf transmitter I was using. No noise, and much better sound quality.
Thanks for the help Gunnar,
Steve
