yes, you're right.
The EC92 ist the phase-inverter for the output stages driven in push-pull
when switched to mono mode. (I forgot to say this)
But it will only produce the same amount of power output ( 6-8W vs 2x 3W),
but with less distorsion (hopefully ;-).

... I live in your neighbouring country, Denmark. Unfortunately so far to the north, that I'm not able to receive any German TV or Radio stations.
Normally you can receive Astra with a dish 60 cm. Maybe this link is interesting:
