Just for information, Canada is divided in 10 provinces (roughly like Landers) and 3 territories. The amateur call signs in Canada start with VE or VA, followed with a number specific to each province, so VE0 would be in Newfoundland, VE1 in east part (NB, NS and PEI), VE2 for Québec, 3 for Ontario, etc... Sailors have call signs starting with VO, only when they are sailing. So I would become VO2 HDD when sailing and go back to VA2 HDD when I'm back home. Strange but so very Canadian !!
