    Very many thanks Schrottsammler (scrap collector? -yes me too) for the very helpful drawing. All it needs now is somebody with thin fingers to do some disassembly and threading-up.     Hi again - Dad has been busy with pen and paper, and here is a drawing of the broken cord... (hope this works)... Frei_6-3D_auto_cord.jpg It is the drive cord that connects tuning knob shaft to variable capacitors in the enclosure on right hand side of the chassis that holds the EC92s. I will start a new thread in due course to document some other aspects of the restoration, in particular the tranformer replacement which worked out rather well. All the best, Richard

    Hello from England! I am very glad to find a Saba forum, and hope the group can help us with a restoration problem on a Freiburg Automatic 6-3D.
