Altes Saba Kabelfernbedienung Fragen

      Hallo freinds of Saba!
Please excuse my use of English, as my small skills of the German language are with little use in over 45 years.
My question is with regards to the remote units in use for the tube (röhren) radio receivers.
I have the U.S. export RS125 for my Saba 410 U.S. model. This is common for radios from >1960
I recently acquired an English language printed version of the Saba 2007 (?) for use with the model Freiburg7.
I can find no info showing that Saba has exported automatic radio models during those earlier years before 1960.(Before remote band selection is offered.)
Does someone know more about the export (North America) Saba models from the 1950s?
I have seen the variant model remote RS18. Is this only for the "Studio" receivers of the later 1960s?
I thank you for any answers to my questions.
      Kind Regards,
      Dennis D.
      Hi Dennis,

I've never seen a remote for the Saba radios from > 1960. Maybe you can take one with German appelations!?
Sometimes you can find the German remotes on ebay.de for the radio from >1960 it's called "RS100".
The export versions of the radios are already very rare. And the remotes are very rare. At the moment you can find a export version from the "RS125" on ebay:
      http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=110262413285&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=001

It's the first export Version of a remote for Saba radios I've ever seen.

The "RS18" is only for one Saba radio, it's called "Saba Hifi-Studio Freiburg Stereo". And this radio has no tubes anymore.
      Here is a picture:

I don't know, whether Saba had export versions from the radios of the 50's. But I think not.

Can you make a few pictures from your Saba 410 U.S.? Because Export Versions are very rare...

      Best regards,

      Hi Dennis,
the Remote Control 2007 is the right part for the Freiburg 9.
For the Freiburg 7 it works too, I hope.

Now I browsed my Saba Servicemanual-collection for US Export versions...

      Ok, look,...
Saba 400 is a Freiburg 11 with power supply 115Volts only, and FM up to 108 MHz.
the correct remote control is the RS 125

      Saba 410 is a Freiburg 14 (1964),
there are the versions Saba Continental 410US, 420US, 3050US.
      the right cable-control is the RS125 (!)

Anyway, if you need a copy of any Saba-US-Exportversion, you can contact me.

      Hello Fellows.

      Thank you for the responses.
It is now confirmed for me the RS18 is _only_ for the "Studio" models of Saba, as I had thought.
My Continental 410US has also the original "English" RS125 remote unit.

Yes, the model 2007 remote appears to be correct for Saba Automatic radios for _use with a remote control_ from 1956/7/8/9 model years...
This recently purchased "English" 2007 works fine with my Freiburg7.

The mystery continues for my "English" language remote 2007, and for which "export" models it was made to be used with.
      I will conduct further research.

....and yes, from the hundred+ German radios I have repaired or restored, it was much fun to restore these Saba Automatic radios to working condition as when they were new.
Now, to begin the new cabinet lacquer jobs.

      Thank you again,
      Kind Regards,
      Dennis D.
      Hello!
I am new to this forum and not the most literate with computer processes for photo uploading on this site, but I can gladly direct you to my photo page.

      http://home.twcny.rr.com/densradios/

This is a page of my hobbies, both past and present, with all radio brands mixed in. (This is not nearly all of the radios!)
The photos I uploaded today are of poor quality, but show the idea.....
A Saba Freiburg7 and Meersburg7 chassis are shown in the photo titled "Project_6/08."...As I mentioned, the season is just about correct to begin many cabinet refinishes that have been waiting for warmer weather. (Yes, it has been unusually cold here this year, just about 20 km. South of Quebec, Canada.)

And a special public "thank you" again to antik-radios-restored for making the Saba decals available to me! Just a little trimming of the rear and sides nearest the drucktasten make a beautiful job....I also have discovered just the right coloring for the aluminum after polishing to reproduce the same as the original light gold tone.
      (Edit: Photo removed.)

      MFG,
      Dennis D.
      Hi Dennis,

when you upload a photo here, you must look that you haven't got spaces in the filename and that you have only smal letters in the filename. And the file shouldn't be very big. I think, the best size is 600 x 800 pixel.

Can you make a few more photos from your 410 U.S.?

      @littledennis:
What do you mean with "remote 2007"?

      @Heino:
You can speak English? ;)

.....It appears as if the method I used does work.
Yes, I can speak English, and write it moderately well enough.- Apparently, since I can't type I had forgotten to include the word "model" to make it perfectly clear.
Please pardon me, and I'm sorry to have bothered this esteemed and superior forum. I assure you, from this point, this 'Yankee' will go away.
      How to upload pictures:

      http://saba.magnetofon.de//showtopic.php?threadid=338

Ok, German text. But you see the screenshots where you have to click. Maximum filesize is 500 kB. Do not use blanks in the filename. The file will be uploaded but not shown as a picture. The board software generally shows no pictures with a blank in the filename.

Some older Germans did not learn English in school.

I apologize for my considering the above message as a sort of insult to me.
There is a bit of difference in styles of writing here that I don't understand yet.
      I must be overly-sensitive.
Thank you for pointing out the method for uploading photos directly to this site. I have tried this a couple of times with no success--yet.
I will continue to try this with a repeated review of the instructions in the link.
I seem to have no difficulty to open a photo from my own web page, but not able to upload a photo file from my desktop directly to this site.

      MFG,

      Hello again!

I have tried the upload....Now to paste here below:

I reduced the data to 500X so the details are not so great.
