Thanks for replying. No, the links you gave me seem to only show the larger type which are used primarily for the the dial ilumination. I just thought that someone here may have found a source for the much smaller lamps which illuminate the keys on my Freiburg WIII from 1952.schabu postete

Thanks. I did suspect something like that because I saw a wire leading underneath the speaker. Things were done differently in those days. The other thing I noticed was the fact that there are 3 transformers. The power transformer; the output transformer and another one that seems to be associated with the audio filtering system. This is the first radio I have seen that uses a transformer as part of the circuit. Thanks again for your help. Johnschabu postete
